Living Away (2018-2020)

An undisciplined limited series of performing art events in Nueva York from 2018 to 2020, Living Away presented the work of a network of local artists.

The project closed with an online festival in 2020, a domestic art event featuring the works of a community of international artists. Living Away Fest was an opportunity to understand art’s impact in catalizing social bonds, especially in a world affected by the surge of the COVID pandemic.

the program included radio pieces, art films and interactive installations. live events such as workshops, a cooking class, a performance-lecture, instructions for taking a selfie, a dance class, meditations, self-guided offline practices, poetical walks in the neighborhood, and other forms of interaction between artists and the guests.

espacios ibsen (2013-2017)

From 2013 to 2017, I curated Espacios Ibsen an anual series of performing art festivals based on exchanges between artists from Cuba and Norway. This event allowed a space for artistic freedom and cultural debate that impulsed the work of many young artists in Cuba.
